Improve Your Cancer Data Collection at My ACCC Session

Every year I look forward to the Association of Community Cancer Centers (ACCC) Annual Meeting.

This year, however, I am especially excited to pack my bags and head to D.C. as I will be leading a session on improving your cancer data collection with Summa Health Cancer Institute’s Sylvia Radziszewski, RRT, MBA on day two of the meeting.

Sylvia and I are busy polishing our final presentation slides for our session:

Improve Your Cancer Data Collection -
Streamline Your Accreditation & Quality Reporting Processes

During our talk we will be discussing:

  • Innovative cancer registry solutions to help streamline the accreditation process.
  • Practical strategies to meet cancer program standards and accreditation requirements.
  • Tips for transforming your cancer data collection process to yield quality records that can support the move to value-based care and alternative payment models like the Oncology Care Model.
While prepping for our session, I found it helpful to look back at the ACCC article I wrote in March of 2012, "Multiple Program Accreditations: Mastering the Juggling Act.” Though it’s been five years, the six best practices I outlined for juggling multiple accreditations are still useful tips for today’s cancer programs.

I hope to see many of our faithful blog readers at the ACCC 43rd Annual Meeting – at my session on improving your cancer data collection and especially at our booth #518.

(Psst…As a “thank you” for following our blog, we’ll have special CHAMPS promotional items to those of you who mention this post when you stop by.)

See you soon!
